Who is eligible to signup?
If you and your child live inside of Monroe County and your child is in 4th through 12th grade, your child is eligible.
All homeschool students, county wide, from Fourth grade through High School grades are also eligible.
Registration does not imply that the student has been accepted into the JAM Program. You will be contacted if we need additional information or missing information. Letters of acceptance into the program will be sent after the first four weeks of class.
(September 1st is closing date for 2023-2024 registration.)
September 20th is first JAM session for Tellico Plains and September 21st for Madisonville.
A stand-by list will be maintained and families will be contacted as openings
become available and the student is able to catch up with the program.

We're looking forward to getting started!
We're going to do things a little different this year. Instead of a letter of recommendation, we're going to have a month long honeymoon/probation for the first four weeks of JAM. We'll evaluate each student and parents will monitor their children to determine if they will benefit by continuing after the first four weeks. Historically, we've lost most of those who decide JAM isn't for them or their children after the first month. This will go both ways. Registration will close on Monday, September 1st. All registrations must be submitted by that date.

We loan instruments as we are able, but if you wish to purchase one for your child, we've made a file with links to the instruments we recommend. Violins are especially hard to buy, and there are very few of the cheaper ones that are playable. Don't waste money by buying without advice. I'm always willing to show you the good instruments and explain why the $150 violin is rarely a good buy. Don't be caught in the trap of the flea market salesman, or even Amazon. Reviews do not reflect the quality of the instrument.
